Microsoft Unveils its First Tablet “Surface”
Microsoft has unveiled its first tablet named “Surface” to counter the Apple’s iPad.the new devices, expected to come out later this year around the time Microsoft releases Windows 8.Surface will come in two versions, both featuring a 10.6 inch, high resolution, 16:9 display, USB 3.0, front and rear-facing cameras and a kick-stand for easy viewing.The consumer friendly version of the tablet is just 9.3 mm thin, and 1.5 lbs. It will be equipped with an ARM processor that features Windows RT. The Pro version will be equipped with a third-generation Intel Core processor running Windows 8 Pro. This version of Surface will be available in 32 GB and 64 GB models.The Surface tablet will come with a cool “Touch Cover” that will feature a full keyboard and track pad. The touch covers will come in a variety of bold colors and are just 3 mm thick.
Microsoft hasn’t yet disclosed its price and release date.
HTC One V
HTC made a big splash at the Mobile World Congress this year when it showcased three new devices under its HTC One umbrella, namely the One X, One S and One V. The One V is the second device in the series to be launched in the country.The smartphone draws attention thanks to its protruding chin design, which is reminiscent of the HTC Legend. Apple and Intel are working together to create and new Bluetooth-powered smartwatch that could be released sometime this year.This new smartwatch is rumored to have a 1.5-inch OLED screen, which is around the same size as the display found on the iPod Nano.
